About Sarah

I’m from Carmarthen and studied Education at Chester College.  During the days of the National Curriculum I decided that teaching was not for me, but knew that I wanted to work with children and their learning. In 1996 I went to work as a Children’s Entertainer for Airtours in Mallorca and Lanzarote.  I stayed in Lanzarote for 6 years working in entertainment, hotel receptions, Public Relations and as a dental nurse.  During that time I learned Spanish and married a Canarian waiter.  We moved back to Carmarthen in 2004, and in 2005 I finally got back to the original plan and set up Jambori!!

In 2008, I devised, wrote and co-produced the CD Amser Symud – A Collection of Welsh Action Songs for children, a resource which has proved very popular to children and teachers throughout Wales.

I regularly hold training sessions and conference workshops for childcare practitioners and for student teachers and have recently been collaborating with the DCELLS project “Music in the Foundation Phase”.

I’m married (to the Canarian waiter) and we have two children aged 8 and 4(and a half).
